ABOUT
This page is shared by the domains fluid-dynamics.education, turbomachinery.education, engineering-sciences.education, and transformacni-technologie.cz, where I publish original educational texts that I use in my lectures. The names of the individual domains correspond to the topics of the articles.
Explanation notes
Individual articles also contain hyperlinks in different formats within the text. One format is reserved for referencing objects within the article, another format is reserved for referencing objects in other articles. Most articles also contain problems and their solutions in the appendices. It is also possible to view a PDF version of the article in A4 format – the download link is always below the article content.
- Hypertext links
- Underlined words refer to objects within the article, such as figures, formulas, problems, tables, etc., and to other articles through their full title (for example, Figure 3). The underlining of internal links remains in the PDF version so that the reader can easily find the description in the text for the figure that caught his attention. If it is a link outside the article, then the hypertext link is not underlined, for example, Blade speed. In the PDF version, such links outside the article are highlighted by increasing the spaces between the letters, so it looks like this: Blade speed. For the reader of the PDF version, this is only information that the specified keyword is already described in another article; if the reader does not know the keyword, then it is possible to open the html version and click on the keyword to open the relevant article. However, I have been writing pages for many years and some still use slightly different text formats.
- Problems
- The problems are used to exercise the theory described in the articles. The author of the problems is usually the author of the article, if the author is someone else, then his name is given. The solutions to the problems are shown in the appendices.
- Appendices
- The appendices to the articles contain solutions to problems and the derivation of some important formulas. Here is a sample of such an appendix. The appendices are available only in PDF format and can be bought in the Online shop).
- Left column
- Most articles have a left column for each paragraph. This column contains a brief summary of the paragraph, keywords, or paragraph identifier.
Online shop
The articles are available to readers for free, but the reader must accept advertising. The article appendices are paid content that can be purchased in my online shop.
- Paid content
- In the online shop you can buy full versions of articles (without advertising) including appendices in PDF format. The purchased PDF file also contains information about the sale (name or email from the order).
- Links to Online shop
- Each website, or proceedings, has its own online shop, where its complete content can be purchased. Links to individual online shops are directly in the articles under the heading "Appendices", or you can use the following links:
- General Terms and Conditions
- The general terms and conditions are available at https://www.transformacni-technologie.cz/general-terms-and-conditions.pdf.
- Selection of general terms and conditions and provision of multi-license for paid content
- From the content of the general terms and conditions: The number of copies indicated by the buyer during the sale also indicates the total number of individuals who can use the document. That is, an order for 1 copy means that the ordered file is intended for one reader, 2 copies for two readers, etc. When purchasing multiple copies, a discount can be negotiated, or a license can be provided for multiple users within one company, etc. In such cases, please contact me with a request at skorpik.jiri@email.cz.
